Question 3

What is the difference between the DJI Avata and DJI Avata 2?

Accepted Answer

Eight key differences separate the DJI Avata 2 from the original model. DJI has introduced an Easy ACRO mode to help users perform Flips, Rolls, and 180° Drifts for stunning aerial footage with a single push. The sensor has changed from a 1/1.7″ CMOS Super-Wide-Angle Camera to a 1/1.3″ CMOS Super-Wide-Angle Camera with the introduction of HDR video recording. The Avata 2 also benefits from 10-bit D-Log M Colour Mode, Downward/Backward Visual Positioning, an increased 23-Min Max Flight Time with support for PD fast charging, DJI O4 Video Transmission with a 13km Max Transmission Distance, and a larger 46GB of internal memory.

Question 4

Does the DJI Avata 2 have compatible accessories?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A plethora of compatible accessories accompanied the DJI Avata 2 launch. Compatible accessories include the DJI Avata 2 Intelligent Flight Battery, DJI Avata 2 Propellers, DJI Avata 2 Battery Charging Hub, DJI Avata 2 ND Filters Set (ND8/16/32), DJI Sling Bag, DJI RC Motion 3, DJI FPV Remote Controller 3, and DJI Goggles 3.

Question 5

What is the DJI Avata 2’s maximum flight altitude?

Accepted Answer

Whilst DJI states that the DJI Avata 2 has a maximum flight altitude of 500m, the CAA states that the maximum legal limit for flying is 120m. Maximum flight altitudes also vary by country and region. We recommend following local laws and regulations before flying your DJI Avata 2.

Question 6

What is ACRO mode?

Accepted Answer

Easy ACRO mode, or the manual/rate mode, operates without the automatic levelling feature. When the control stick is released, the quadcopter maintains its roll and pitch positions, requiring the pilot to constantly make manual adjustments to prevent loss of control and potential crashes. Hence, it's dubbed "manual mode" due to the need for continuous hands-on control.
